Welcome back to Week 2 of “Cocktails with Keka”. This week I made mojitos and it was soooooo good!! I was shocked how delicious they came out and how easy it was. I really hope you guys try this one out – you wont regret it!
PS. I did not have a muddler so I used the end of a wooden spoon lol
INGREDIENTS:
~ 10 mint leaves
~ 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
~ 1 tablespoon of sugar – or to taste
~ 1 cup of ice cubes
~ 2 oz of white rum (I used Bacardi white rum)
~ 1/2 cup of seltzer water – or club soda
STEPS:
1. Place mint leaves and one lime wedge into a sturdy glass – use a muddler to crush the lime and mint leaves until juices are released
2. Add 2 more lime wedges and muddle again until juices are released
3. DO NOT STRAIN – fill the same glass almost to the top with ice
4. Add 2 oz of white rum
5. Add seltzer water – stir, taste and add sugar if desired
6. Garnish with lime wedge – add metal straw if desired
