Strawberry Caipiroska

Hi guys,
I’m late on this one too, my bad! I made Strawberry Caipiroska last weekend and it was the perfect summer drink. This drink is a twist on the Brazilian drink, Caipirinha. I’m usually not a fan of fruity drinks, but because I used fresh strawberries and lime, it was extremely refreshing. The recipe calls for Vodka, but I had Bacardi White Rum on hand so used that instead. My sister and her friend both loved it – I will definitely be making this again this summer!

INGREDIENTS:
~ 1/2 lime, cut into quarters
~ 1 cup strawberries, hulled (I used about 4-5 strawberries)
~ 1 tablespoon sugar
~ 2 oz Bacardi White Rum (or vodka)
~ 2 oz club soda
~ Ice

STEPS:
1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lime, strawberries (leave one for garnish), and sugar until juices are released
2. Add rum (or vodka) and enough ice to fill your glass
3. Shake briefly to chill
4. Pour into glass – DO NOT STRAIN!
5. Top with club soda and garnish with reserved strawberry
